About Us

Double C Farm, owned and operated by Cridder Halle, is a private facility located in upper Montgomery County, Maryland, near Sugarloaf Mountain. We offer Ranch Riding and have an Extreme Mountain Trail Obstacle Course. We are conveniently located for riders in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.

The Mountain Trail Course at Double C features over 30 obstacles including a high bridge, balance beams, several moving bridges, and water obstacles.

We offer Private Lessons and Play Days. Or bring your friends along! We can accommodate you and your friends for a Private Lesson or a Private Play Day!

We also have 2 Public Play Days a year. One in the Spring and our esteemed and beloved annual Halloween Play Day!!

Riding the obstacle course helps a horse and rider:

• Build a deeper partnership
• Cultivate trust, respect, and confidence
• Increase flexibility and agility
• Develop better communication skills

We also offer Ranch Riding clinics as well as several Ranch Riding shows throughout the season.

Our facility has been approved by the East Coast Ranch Riding Association (ECRRA) and we host several Full Slate shows every year.

We will also be using our Mountain Trail Course for the Trail portion of our Ranch Riding Shows!
